Claiming Your Inheritance

 

 

If a father dies and leaves an inheritance for his young children, those children are not much better off than slaves until they grow up, even though they actually own everything their father had. They have to obey their guardians until they reach whatever age their father set… We were slaves to the basic spiritual principles of this world….. God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba, Father.” Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir. (Galatians 4:1-7 NLT). “Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? 'Father, save Me from this hour'? But for this purpose I came to this hour. Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came from heaven, saying, “I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.”  (John 12:27-28).

 

 

The Scriptures state that we cannot experience God’s Kingdom within us without being born of water and of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life, while humans give birth to human life. You are a spirit in a body with a soul. Only God’s Spirit can change you into a mature child of God. Only through Christ living in you, will you gain control of your life and lifestyle. This takes us to spiritual maturity. As you draw closer to God, you’ll draw further from the world. The more Christ there is in your heart, the more you can wield your power from love instead of hate, from wisdom instead of foolishness. You need to develop the skills and talents, the potential and spiritual gifts lying yet dormant within you. Then you’ll progressively inherit the wealth and health, happiness and success God has for you. All people stumble; and our stumbling hinders spiritual progress. When we have grown, we fall much less often, but it still happens.  As we grow up we learn to walk, we learnDISCERNMENT for the surface we’re walking on, we learn how to navigate difficult terrain, but even into adulthood, we still fall down sometimes.  That does not mean we give up walking. You have a purpose, and the power of purpose will take you to the next level.

 

 

An excellent tool for measuring spiritual maturity is the TONGUE. The litmus test is the relationship between a person and the tongue. This reveals their spiritual maturity.Watch the tongue for it can be set on fire by hell itself, turning life into a blazing flame of wickedness and poisons, destruction and disaster. Give it to God.  Man cannot tame the tongue with his own power.Thus being a teacher for God requires both natural and spiritual gifts, appropriate character, and right living. God will judge teachers with special strictness on account of their influence over others. When you seek to become a teacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, know that you’ll be held accountable for your influence over others, and if your words or actions cause another to stumble or fall that will be held against you. This will become evident in our abilities to control our words.  Some men wear their hearts on their sleeves, but all men openly display the contents of their hearts in their words. If eyes are the window to the soul, then the tongue is the loudspeaker of the soul.  What is written on your heart will eventually come out of your mouth. Others have described  quarreling as praying to the devil and speaking in anger as prophesying for the devil.

 

 

You have been created by God uniquely. You've got to have a PURPOSE. You've got to have a vision. You've to be going somewhere. Your purpose will make a way for you.  The power of purpose will make a way for you. There is a divine purpose for your name to be written permanently on the mind of God Almighty. Your purpose will outlive you. Let the Spirit of the living God release the Mind of Christ on you. Nothing can reverse the purpose of God for your life. Respect and fear only God Almighty. The Scripture says, to everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under Heaven. There is a purpose in every season. There is a purpose God allowed you to be married or single, employed or unemployed, living abroad or at home, poor or wealthy,educated or average, one way or another, for a season.For a time and for a season, if you don’t know the purpose of anything in life, you'll abuse it. If you don’t know the purpose of being a wife, to be a wise woman and build your home, you'll abuse your husband and tear him down. If you don't know the purpose of God bringing you a wife, you'll abuse her and beat her up to hopelessness and insecurity. Ask God for your purpose, that which outlasts you when you're gone.

 

 

 Mature people overcome OBSTACLES. You'll not overcome until there is an obstacle to overcome. You'll be quickened for your assignment. You cannot pray that God would save you from the very purpose you were created! Age is not a barrier, time is not a barrier. God will give you double for your  trouble. You cannot be an influence to anybody until you resolve your own troubles. You need to show your scars to be considered great. And until you know the purpose, you'll be running away from the things that you ought to be running toward. Until you know the purpose for the things you're going through, you'll be complaining or grumbling. The very trouble your enemy intends to destroy you will be used to announce the glory of God over your life and to promote you. You show maturity when you love your enemies. This is not just because they urge you closer to God Almighty. God has promised to set a table for you before your enemies. They will be the ones to glorify God as your testimony. Do not pray to kill all your enemies! It is not by might or power, but by the Spirit of the Lord. The Lord is doing so many new things in the world today. We cannot afford to be distracted with the world.

 

 

A mature person of purpose is a person of focus, completely incapable of being envious or angry,malicious or bitter. Because maturity and purpose will lift you up above all of those things. Mature persons of purpose will have a BREAKTHROUGH no matter what; they will endure. There is no expiration date to the promises and purpose of God Almighty. You'll not die until you fulfill your purpose. A life of purpose will give you a turnaround. When you're pregnant with purpose, you're unstoppable. Your career is only a resource for your purpose. If you don't quit on God, God will not quit on you. Making money cannot be your purpose. Don't let the devil ever lie to you that you’re useless. If you‘re useless, why would God bother to make you? You're an investment of God. It doesn't matter the failures, every time you'll arise and shout exaltation to God Almighty. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. A matured life of purpose does not discuss human beings but ideas. You discuss permanent things. You don't have to compromise to succeed in your purpose. You must have integrity and be principled. And you must have the passion to pursue Godly purpose for your life. Put God first in everything you do. Keep growing up in faith!
