Giving in Spirit is Supply

 

Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything - all she had to live on.” (Mark 12:43-44 NIV). Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:28 NIV).

 

In Giving in Spirit, the first law of giving is of the spirit world. Then it is followed by giving of this world's material things. Give to all you meet or whose lives touch yours. Give all your best to all who need it.  Pray to become a great giver. So start with giving in spirit! Give of your time, your prayers, your love, yourself, your thoughts. We must practice this giving first. Then can next give of this world's material goods and money, as you have them given to you. To give money and material things, without having first made the habit of giving on the higher plane is wrong. As you receive from the Lord, you must supply the real needs of those the Lord brings to you. Not questioning, not limiting. Their nearness to you or their relationship must never count. Only their need is to guide you. We must become great givers. Give as God supplies. Give to both the evil and the good, the just and the unjust. For the Lord makes His sun to shine on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. Give according to the real needs, not the desires. Just be a channel for the Lord. And in giving with the thought of supplying a real need, you most closely resemble that Father in Heaven, the Great Giver.

 

And when we are Giving in Spirit to both the good and evil, it is as concerns temporal and material things. The Lord's sun and rain on the evil and the good and on the just and unjust only concerns temporal and material blessings. It does not mean that the Believer and Unbeliever can be treated alike by the Lord. That is not possible. He can send rain and sunshine, money ad worldly blessings equally to both good and evil people. The Lord can also withhold them from both. But of the blessing of the Kingdom of God, that would be impossible! There are conditions that control the bestowal of these eternal blessings. Let the Believers therefore obey the Lord's injunction and be perfect even as our Father in Heaven is perfect. We claim the righteousness of God by faith through Christ. To attempt to bestow on all alike your love and understanding and interchange of thought would be impossible. But temporal blessings we too can bestow as our Father in Heaven. All must be done in love and in the spirit of true forgiveness. We see all things are planned by Christ Jesus. And we rejoice in that vision. Lord Jesus Christ, we declare that we love You. Let us therefore pursue the Lord no matter what. Let us overcome offense and disappointment to follow Him.

 

The laws that govern prosperity are just as sure and workable as the laws of science. The basic law of prosperity is known as  giving and receiving, or sowing and reaping, or action and reaction, or supply and demand, or attraction and radiation, or compensation. Thus this law of giving and receiving is the law of laws! What you radiate outward in your thoughts and feelings, or in your words and mental pictures, you attract into your life and affairs. But you cannot get something for nothing. To eliminate poverty, you must radiate in order to attract. What you do radiate you constantly attract. You must learn to give or sow before receiving or reaping. When you give or sow, you make contact with God's lavish abundance. And so there is a channel formed through which the rich unlimited substance of the Universe can pour forth its riches to you. Those who only want handouts - something for nothing - will continue to live in poverty or in a poverty-stricken area. There is always something a person can give, either tangibly or intangibly, that will put them in touch with God's rich supply. When you meet a person in a desperate situation, with great compassion explain the magic power of giving in some way, which would start the substance flowing back in appropriate form.

 

The poor think that they have nothing to give! Of course, everyone always has something to give. Indeed, we always have more to give than we at first realize. We can ask for divine guidance concerning what we can give. Pray in the faith that you would be divinely led as to how to give and how to receive thereafter. You start the flow of divine substance by giving first. Then you get ready to receive by preparing in one way or the other. For the manna from Heaven could manifest as money or as material things, as a job or as provision! We can have the best of everything when we give full measure for the good we wish to receive. Great hearts think and radiate great thoughts and expectancies of success and prosperity. We constantly use the law of radiation and attraction whether we are aware of it or not. Take hold of and redirect your thoughts and feelings toward prosperity and success. It is up to you to dare to choose and radiate outward through your thinking what you really wish to experience in life. Your conditions can change as quickly as you can change your thinking about them. When you let the Holy Spirit renew your mind, you begin to think a different way. Then you can find God's will and plan for your life. God's plan covers every facet of your living.

 

In Giving in Spirit, let us truly bring to the Lord Jesus Christ the gifts of the Earth's wisest. Gold is our money; Frankincense is the adoration of our consecrated life; and Myrrh is our sharing in His sorrows and the World's. We must begin by giving ourselves first. We cannot buy a good relationship with God. God can get on alright without our money or material gifts. It is for our benefit that God requires us to give. Thus the key to finding God's will in our lives and lifestyle is offering ourselves as living sacrifice. We need to make ourselves totally and unreservedly available to God Almighty for His service. Nothing exists for which God has not made provision and for which He doesn't accept responsibility. But we must meet Him on His terms. Start by giving yourself first. Then your mind will begin to grasp the fullness of God's provision and plan for you. Realize that the righteous first give themselves to God and then give liberally to others. Our right giving will insure that God provides for us in this World. And the ultimate truth is that we are laying up treasure in Heaven in proportion to what we give on Earth. For our provision is on Earth, but our treasure is in Heaven.
