Operating in the Supernatural

 

 

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (I Thessalonians 5:23). Then he prayed, “Lord, please help him to see.” And the Lord let the servant see that the hill was covered with fiery horses and flaming chariots all around Elisha. (2 Kings 6:17 CEV).

 

To Operate in the Supernatural is synonymous with miraculous signs and wonders. The natural involves the 5 senses of sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste. These enable us to function at the physical and mental, emotional and spiritual levels of life. The Holy Bible is the key to understanding life and its many mysteries. It states that the unseen world is everlasting while the visible world is temporal. Therefore, we are advised that "we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen". Thus the unseen world influences the world that we see and touch, live and breath much more than most people would want to admit. The Supernatural world involves unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and ghosts, Satan and hell, heaven and God, demons and angels, death and witches, sorcery and extraterrestrial (ET) phenomena and much more. We know that the unseen world indeed controls what we do see.

 

To Operate in the Supernatural you require several ingredients. First, be motivated by love. Love must be the foundation for everything you do. Without love, power can lead to pride and self-inflation. Love is the greatest manifestation of God’s power. When you love God, you can walk in total obedience and you can defeat the power of sin and Satan. Love is what motivates our faith and causes us to live in the Spirit. It is the greatest virtue of all. Second, learn to hear God’s voice. We must develop a keen sensitivity to the person of the Holy Spirit. God doesn’t work the same way all the time, and we need to hear His direction for each situation. Sometimes Jesus did unusual things such as spit in mud and put it into a person’s eyes. He was unconventional but completely Spirit-led. Third, practice prayer and fasting. Prayer and fasting help to release God’s faith within us. It’s the faith that produces the miracle, not the fasting. It isn’t by our works, but by His faith and grace extended toward us that we can achieve success.

 

Fourth, passionately pursue spiritual gifts and earnestly desire them. Ask the Holy Spirit to stir up and manifest the gifts of the Spirit that are within you. As you ask God to stir them up, He will. You can’t work for or earn the spiritual gifts. They are given freely by the Holy Spirit just as salvation is. The more you pursue them, the more you will have! Fifth, add action to your faith. Faith without works is dead. Never be discouraged. Stay focused. No matter what you see, set your vision higher, know and understand God’s will and truth, and allow His faith to move you to action. This action will release the power of God and produce the miraculous.

 

Sixth, cultivate God’s presence in your life. Spend time doing what is acceptable to God. Confess and repent promptly of the slightest sin. Pray in tongues. Cover yourself under the blood of Jesus. Meditate in the Word. Express worship to the Lord through song and prayer. The more of His presence you carry, the more power you will have. You’ll find that as your life is filled with the atmosphere of the Holy Spirit, miraculous signs and wonders will be a natural overflow. Seventh, you associate with the anointing. A major key to being brought to a new level of God’s power is learn to go where God was moving. Of course, God can come to you to give you something. You need to go somewhere.

 

 

When we’re Operating in the Supernatural, believers walk in an intimate and personal relationship with God. We both hear and see what the Father is doing, and join Him in His work. We know who we are as children of God, and we recognize the royalty in everyone. If you want to enjoy greater intimacy with God and walk more deeply in the supernatural realm, learn to be yourself. Submit yourself to God.  Trust in God’s Word and embrace His love for you. Experiencing the Supernatural can be hindered by shallow faith that confines God’s unlimited abilities. We must expect the unexpected. Stand on faith and proclaim what we are believing God to do. There are many ways to receive from God. We must learn not to place limits on what God will do. Fast and pray and speak the Word of God, and you’ll see the Glory of God manifested. Ask God to speak to you today. Everyone has faith; you just have to use it. Let your faith be thanking God for what you are asking, before you ever see it. Just simply ask, believe and receive! May the Supernatural become natural in your life today!
