Overcoming Adverse Circumstances

 

 

To conquer adverse conditions, conquer yourself. To accomplish much, be much. In all cases the doing, to be well-doing, must be the mere unconscious expression of the being. After all, you're a human being, not a human doing! Be kind, merciful, tender-hearted, forgiving and compassionate. Remember, you have received so much forgiveness and sacrifice from other people and from your Creator, Father God Almighty. Learn to do unto others what you wish for yourself. You'll become what God created you to be by giving yourself completely to Him as a living sacrifice, holy and righteous. Although you may not understand your divine path, pray for complete surrender to God's will for your life and lifestyle. Then when you become who God meant you to be, you'll set the world on fire for the Lord Jesus Christ.

So learn to make the right choices, obey the voice of the Spirit of God. He'll teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things you study in God's Word.  Pray the Holy Spirit to help you hear His inner promptings, soft and clear; and to help you know His still and small voice so that you may make God's will your choice. Sometimes we're tempted to tune out divine interruptions of the Holy Spirit instead of listening to them. He may nudge us to ask for forgiveness or to pray  for someone in a crisis or convict us for something. As He indwells you, He teaches you, convicts you, comforts you, and guides you into truth. Are you tuned in to the interruption of His voice? Then as you seek, you'll find that inner knowledge that makes the problems of your life plain.

The difficulties of your life are caused by disharmony within you. There is no discord in the Kingdom of God, only something unconquered in you, the Disciple. The rule of the Kingdom of God is perfect order, perfect harmony, perfect supply, perfect love, perfect honesty, perfect obedience - all power, all conquest, all success. But so often you lack power, conquest, success, supply, harmony, and think the Lord fails in His promises because these aren't manifested in your life. They are but the outward manifestations that result from the obedience, honesty, order, love - and they come, not in answer to urgent prayer, but naturally as light results from a lighted candle. 

There are no short cuts to success. Everything has a price. You must give something up to get what you want in life. The greater the value, the greater the sacrifice required of you. There is always a price to pay, either for just leaving things as they are, or if you want to make them better. Nothing worthwhile ever comes easily. Work and prayer are the only ways to accomplish results that last in overcoming your adversities. Use your imagination more than your memory to achieve success. Walk by faith, not by sight! If you want what God has for you, do what He says you should do. He'll keep His promises to your descendants. His love and compassion are with those who worship Him and keep His covenant and obey His commands. You're part of the body of Christ; be honest and work hard, so you'll have something to give to people in need. Do as God does; let love be your guide. You're a person of light because you belong to the Lord; so act like it and make your light shine. Be good and honest and truthful, to please the Lord.

Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name. Praise the Lord, O my soul; and forget not all His benefits.
